The Texas Education Agency today released district and campus accountability scores for the 2025–26 school year, and Round Rock ISD has earned an adjusted score of 89. Nearly 78%  of all campuses received an A or a B, up from 72% in 2025. 

The district’s true average score was a 91, an A. However, per TEA policy, if any campus in a district earns a D or if any campus receives a D in any domain, the highest possible score the district can earn is an 89. 

Senior Chief of Schools & Innovation Natalie Nichols said she was extremely proud of the district's success and growth over the previous year.

"That's a lot of hard work to move a system this large," Nichols said. "Our principals and our teachers have really poured their hearts and souls into making sure the kids get what they need."

District scores are made up of three domains—Student Achievement, School Progress and Closing the Gaps. High school and district ratings also take into account graduation rates, as well as college, career and military readiness (CCMR) rates.

CCMR data lags one year behind STAAR scores in accountability ratings. The CCMR rate used in the most recent ratings showed a slight increase to 91.6%, up from 91% the previous year. 

All Round Rock ISD campuses received a D or higher for the 2025–26 school year, showing growth over the previous year when two campuses had received an F rating, and three had received a D. 

Particular points of pride include the work done by staff and students at Joe Lee Johnson Elementary and Bluebonnet Elementary. Joe Lee Johnson improved to an 80/B, up from a 50/F in 2024–25; Bluebonnet improved to an 88/B, up from a 64/C the previous year. 

Highlights

• All high schools except Success High School are A-rated campuses.

• All campuses that earned a D or F in 2024–25 have achieved a C rating or higher:

  • Anderson Mill Elementary - 76/C, up from 57/F in 2024–25

  • Bluebonnet Elementary - 88/B, up from 64/D in 2024–25

  • Callison Elementary - 75/C, up from 69/D in 2024–25

  • Joe Lee Johnson Elementary - 80/B, up from 50/F in 2024–25

  • C.D. Fulkes Middle School - 71/C, up from 60/D in 2024–25
